Terms and Conditions for Emergency Lighting Testing

By choosing PAT Testing Wales for your Emergency Lighting Testing needs, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Service Overview

PAT Testing Wales provides professional emergency lighting testing services in accordance with UK safety regulations, including BS 5266-1. Our service ensures that emergency lighting systems are inspected, tested, and assessed for compliance and operational reliability.

2. Access Requirements

Customers must provide safe and suitable access to all emergency lighting fittings, distribution boards, and test points at the scheduled appointment time.

A charge equal to 20% of the estimated job price will be incurred if our team arrives on-site but cannot access or complete the testing due to client absence, restricted access, or unsafe working conditions.

3. Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel or reschedule your emergency lighting testing appointment, you must inform us at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled date.
Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in a fee of 20% of the estimated job price.

4. Pricing and Payments

All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

Payment terms and details will be clearly outlined on the invoice issued upon booking confirmation.
Late payments may incur additional charges.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all areas requiring testing are accessible and safe for our engineers to work in.

  • Informing staff or occupants of planned testing, as emergency lighting may be temporarily activated or powered down during inspection.

  • Providing any necessary site documentation, such as existing logbooks or building plans, where available.

6. Liability

PAT Testing Wales shall not be liable for any issues arising from pre-existing faults, poor installation, or system defects that prevent accurate testing.
We also accept no liability for delays or additional costs caused by inaccessible fittings or unsafe site conditions.

7. Subcontracting

PAT Testing Wales reserves the right to subcontract emergency lighting testing services when necessary.
All subcontractors operate under our standards of safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.

By booking Emergency Lighting Testing services with PAT Testing Wales, you confirm that you accept and agree to these terms and conditions.
